Ultimately, we would like a year of your historical electrical usage. This enables us to design a system correctly for your home. The average power bill will give us a snapshot for a quick estimate at this time.

Will solar increase the value of our home?

What will happen if the power company loses power?

Solar is tied to the grid, or the power company. If power is lost, your solar will automatically shut down for the safety of the powerline workers. Therefore, you will not have power. If you have a battery backup, you may be able to run portions of your home’s electricity.

Will I receive the 30% tax credit in the form of a check?

Will I still get a bill from the power company?

Yes, you will still get a bill from the power company. Depending upon your utility and the amount of solar that makes sense in your personal circumstance, you will always still have the connection fee. Those are there to remain connected to the “grid”. This is necessary due to the regulations of the city and state.
